Today I:
Worked for 4 hours. If I bomb the state-specific essays, I will attribute it to these last couple of days of tiredness. Seriously, I would sit down and start going through my outlines and my eyes would start drooping and my mental focus was all shot. Looking forward to cramming a bunch of random info into short-term memory tomorrow. I did get through my Corporations cards though. Yippee.
So in the hours I wasn't studying, I read all my fellow Bar bloggers' good-bye and good luck posts.
Swam 90 laps. I was planning on 80, but I did 10 more, just to continue watching the HOTT guy 2 lanes over. Yes, he was 2 T's of hotness. Actually it was more that he was an awesome swimmer and had amazing blue eyes. You know, I really love the boys with the piercing blue eyes. If only they loved my big brown eyes as much. Of course then their blue eyes would probably be lost, but I have a 1 in 2 chance of being a carrier of the blue eye allele, which means there's a 1 in 4 chance we would have a kid with blue eyes (I think that's how it works out. I loved genetics, but never took statistics.)
And now I am drinking some varm meelk (as Frau Blucher would say) in the hopes that its properties will help me fall asleep tonight, since obviously the sedative powers of Benadryl do not work on my body anymore. Warm milk with a touch of vanilla was my dad's surefire cure when I couldn't get to sleep when I was little.
So I think I'll just go brush my teeth and toddle off to bed, with hopes of a more productive tomorrow.

Well, brown-eyed girl, if the eye color trait were monogenic, you would have a 1/2 chance of all brown-eyed kids and a 1/2 chance of 50% blue-eyed kids, which is not exactly the same as a 1/4 chance of each kid being blue-eyed. However, since I believe eye color is polygenic, all bets are off. Maybe you could have one of those kids with one blue eye and one green eye, like the girl in Blue Crush. Only one way to tell, find a blue-eyed boy and start mating.
In any case, i find your eyes to be inquisitive and full of vitality.
NNNNEEEEIIIGGhhhhh! (You Did mention Frau Blucher....)
Kelly, you're doing just fine. Keep doing what you're doing. THE Guy will surface, probably when you least expect it. (I'm sure he won;'t be expecting it, either.
I'll lay money that it won't be this guy:

Seems too smug and marketed to be sincere.
Anon, inquisitive and full of vitality. That sounds nice. :) My genetics experience is limited to my AP Biology class in high school, but I always found it really interesting.
J, that is hilarious! Well a) I couldn't date a guy named Lance. Shades of Lance Fairchild. b) I may be sad and pathetic in my old maidenhood, but not enough to actually move to Utah. And thank you to you and all my friends and family for not making a datekelly website.
Jim, thanks for the mantra!
J, sorry for giving the Lance credit to SC Jenn. She goes by J as well on here. :) So who are you? Jesse...? SF Jenn...?
Not a problem; I'm sure I spotted the Lance thing on cnn.com moments before others did.
I am neither Jesse or SF Jenn. For this particular comment thread, I'm actually both J and Jim...just hit the "enter" key too quickly the first time.
Get a good night's sleep, then go kick that exam's tuchus. After that if you're so inclined, e-mail me at jlstotts@cox-internet to tell me how well you did.
Kelly WILL kick the exam's ass.
jlstotts@cox-internet.com. Sorry.
Blucher!
