If I were allowed to take my iPod to the Bar tomorrow (fascists) I would be listening to this excellent mix I just created to get pumped up. Some of the songs are self-explanatory Go Go Go!!! type songs, while the others just make my booty shake:
Let's Get It Started - Black-Eyed Peas
Ready to Go - Republica
Steve McQueen - Sheryl Crow (Contains my current favorite line that I have adopted as my own..um, if I swore "I ain't takin' sh** off no one, baby, that was yesterday")
The Boxer - Carbon Leaf
Ray of Light - Madonna
Hella Good - No Doubt
Right On - OMC (this song makes me happy)
Respect - Pink
We Will Rock You - Queen
Today - Smashing Pumpkins
Come On Eileen - Save Ferris (best remake ever. I love singing at the top of my lungs in the car, Too-rah-loo-rah Too-rah-loo-rah Aaaaaaaaay-aaaaaaay)
Shimmer - Throwing Muses
Vertigo - U2
Feel Good Inc. - Gorillaz
Waterloo - ABBA
La La - Ashlee Simpson (oh come on. You know it makes your head bang)
Bootylicious - Destiny's Child ('cause I don't think you're ready for this jelly)
Groove Is In the Heart - Deee-Lite (the ultimate dance song)
Ya Mama - Fatboy Slim
A Little Less Conversation - Elvis
Isla de Encanta - Pixies

What I meant to say:
Uhm, I don't see "Lone Palm" by Jimmy Buffett on your list. I know it's your Buffett karma song. It's the one that always seems to be playing when we get together - like on Deerfield beach, etc.
An' it goes sumpin' lahk dis:
"My garden is filled with papayas and mangos;
My life is a mixture of reggaes and tangos;
Taste for the good life, I can live it no other way...."
Ahh, it's a margaritaville moment!
;-)
Thanks, Dad! I think my karma is complete now.
