Help! I downloaded the new iTunes onto my computer and now there is NOTHING in my library. No songs, no playlists - NOTHING!
I posted a query on the apple message boards and no one has answered me. Does anyone know what I can do?

I figured out how to get my music files back in the library, but then I found another post online and someone told someone exactly how to do it so they got their playlists back and everything. I'm almost as happy now as I was when I thought I broke my iPod and it turned out to be ok. Hurrah!

Did you goto your my music folder and look for an itunes folder? Try opening them from there.

You can also use those files to transfer music between computers. It's been great when we've either wanted to do a clean install or I haven't wanted to re-load music my husband has already installed on his.

Congratulations btw. I'm sure you did great. I really admire the effort you've put into studying for the bar. I hope it inspires me to throw myself into writing my (bloody) dissertation.
Yay! Yeah I did that once and had to rebuild my whole library, and then found out later about how you can just replace that one file and fix it. Oh well, glad you solved the problem!!
