I forgot to tell you all the big news.
No, it's not THAT.
As of Sunday, I'm the new Young Women's President in our ward. Which is a little intimidating. I felt like I was doing an ok job with the girls, but there was always someone to defer to for the tough decisions. Now I'm that person. You can bet I'm praying my little heart out.
I had my first trial by fire moment last night and found myself calling Annie (our former La Presidente) for advice after I dropped the girls off at home following our weekly activity. As a high school teacher of several years, she has insights into dealing with teenagers that I just don't have yet. She gave me some good pointers, which I have stored away for future use.
Can you say, in over my head?

Kelly - You have a big heart not a little heart as you put it. Could that be why the powers that be decided on you as their choice?
You will be wonderful because Heavenly Father never places us in situation and then runs and hides from us.
Your most proud Aunt who loves you very much!

Whoa! BIG, HUGE calling!!!
My gut feeling though, after reading the first few lines up to the punch - just post-punch was: Of course. It's such a logically (and spiritually) confirming match (you and that calling). It's going to be hard, but you are going to thrive. Those young women are in for a real treat - and a wonderful example!
I felt exactly the same in Primary for about a good year. It'll all come together :)
