Craft Hope Projects

I knit 2 red scarves for the latest Craft Hope project. They are going in care packages from The Orphan Foundation of America.

Now I just have to ship them.

Also, I got sick and missed the window to donate to the Craft Hope store for Haiti on Etsy. However, they are going to open up for donations again on February 5th and my plan is to donate custom-made handwarmers (meaning the buyer can specify the size and color and it will take me a few days to make them and ship them). All proceeds go to Doctors Without Borders. I'll keep you all posted when my item is in the shop.

Question: what do you think is a good price?

Beautiful work! And you're fast! As for the handwarmers, I would say at least $20, if not $25. What is the going rate?

Hmm, it looks like there's a wide variety of prices on Etsy. I think $20 is probably reasonable (less than some, more than others).

These look beautiful Kelly, as always. You have a talent there!

I'm terrible at pricing. I have the same questions in my mind about what my photos should be worth if I start to sell them, and draw a complete blank. I like your idea of $20. I'd probably do something like $19.95 or there abouts. I'm not sure what the advantage is of doing that (so many items are priced with the $__.95 or $__.99 ending rate) except to make it look less than it actually is but that range sounds reasonable.

Good job!

Thanks, Joanne! I do have fun making things so it's great that you think they look nice.

I think on etsy most people use a round number, so I would probably do $15 if I wanted to stay in the teens or just $20 as a round number.
