The Bar is 3 weeks from today. Holy cow, where did the time go?! I spent so much time after I got this job thinking I didn't have to worry about the Bar yet that it has been kind of hard to convince myself that no, really, this is the time to worry.
I did a bunch of practice questions on Saturday and did well enough on all subjects to pass. However, this morning I missed a bunch in Criminal Law, which last time I took the Bar was my GOOD subject. So I spent some quality time with my flashcards. It's just a matter of cramming all of this information into my head. It was in there 3 years ago, surely it can go back, right?
My last day of part-time work is Friday. I decided to take off 2 whole weeks to study, and I'm really glad I did. I'm not going to class for the first few days of this week because it's a review of the practice test we took last week. They gave us a book with explanations in it, so I decided to save myself the hour and a half drive and just go over them on my own. However, in the morning I go for a swim and settle in to study and hit a nice groove and then all of a sudden it's time to get ready for work. It will be nice to have the whole day to study.
FYI, having a really super smart husband who basically remembers everything he ever reads is not helpful at this point. He doesn't understand why I don't already know everything on the flashcards. I mean, I made them, after all, shouldn't I know what they say? I got really ticked last week actually when I felt like he was critiquing my study methods. I had to explain that unlike him, I don't remember everything I read the first time I read it. Or write it. Or hear it. Or whatever. Flashcards worked the first time, so I'm sticking with what I know.

I hated taking biostats with Brandon around. He's never taken a biostats course but could understand everything perfectly after glancing at my book for 3 minutes. Then he'd say, "don't you pay attention during your lectures?" So annoying.
There are definate pros and cons to having a super-smart anyone around when you have to study.
You'll do just fine Kelly. I have faith in you. You're smart too (there's more to smart than 'remembering' things well) - and soon it will all be a distant memory!
Terry is like that also-remembers every darn thing he sees. But you'll do it! And you'll do great!
