I'm pretty sure only me and some health care professionals and health care attorneys care about this, but I'm really annoyed with CMS (The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services). They redesigned their website, which is great because their old website was a big stinkin' piece of crubbish, but now ALL the links from ALL the websites in the entire world that used to link to some CMS resource are wrong and send you to an error page.
This is not helpful when I'm trying to do research and just trying to find out which state Medicaid plans offer Hospice benefits (there used to be a page at CMS that would tell me that according to Google and a bunch of hospice websites). Could they have maybe kept the same links or told me where the new pages are or SOMETHING?
Sigh. OK, I'm done now.

Maybe it is still in the google cache. If it is, I would grab it and save the site because who knows when they'll notice their mistake. If not, you may have to go to the individual states websites.
I don't think it is. Anything on Google is just taking me to the error pages.
I was poking around the cms site and you are right. It's absolute crubbish. You might want to contact this guy Tom Shenk (410) 786-3295 or tshenk@cms.hhs.gov (I saw his name on a site) or narrow your search world by using google uncle sam (it's just gov't sites) http://www.google.com/unclesam. I found links to various state hospice programs but who knows how much time you have on your hands to do that research. I tried drilling down their menus but they were of no use in the amount of time I have. Sorry I have been no help :(. gl
Wow, Abby, thanks for checking it out for me! I'll have to look into it when I get back from vacation and am working on the hospice project again. As of 6 PM today I'm gone for a week. :)
Kelly!
You keep going with your dissing of the new CMS web presence look. I work for a Medicare provider, so I have to use it regularly...no fun. That's not to suggest the previous look was a world-beater...
Its search engine has always driven me nuts; I thoroughly detest it.
BTW, I love the term "crubbish." I'll have folks in my office using it by week's end...
