For some reason, I couldn't post to your original message, about things being right and then seeming not right. I'm in a very similar boat, as it were. I just moved up to Utah, with no job. I was SO sure that I wanted to be here - why? I guess I thought it was "the" place to be - and I guess I thought I'd be "busy as all get out" with a social life. hahahaa. And the whole subbing thing now feels completely and totally wrong. I miss my family and am so utterly confused at what I'm doing here. I'm seeing my Bishop tonight, so hopefully I can a better feeling later on. Good luck. I'm interested to hear how your adventure pans out....
Well, as you can see from my later post I have a temp assignment again, which is great.
Heather, I'm so sorry you're having such a tough time. I can only tell you what so many people have been telling me, and that's to pray and trust the confidence you had before. Yeah, not a huge help, but true nonetheless.
Anon, unfortunately moving in with my parents in Chicago is not an option at all. And I don't just say that as a 28 year old who doesn't want to move home. I'd have to put all my stuff in storage and sublet my place to move from DC to Chicago to live with people who can't afford to support me anyway. Just not an option.
Nemesis, thank you for your ire. It's nice to have you on my side. And I think cheese is ALWAYS warranted.

Go live with your parents til you pass the bar and are admitted to DC. Then you'll have all the temp jobs you want.
