Be they red or white.
I lived in Chicago for 3 years (and my parents still live there), and I lived in Boston for 3 years, so I claim an affinity to sox of all colors. Especially since the first baseball game I went to was at Comiskey Park (yes, I know it's not called that anymore, but I refuse to give into the corporate branding). When the White Sox beat the Red Sox, I remember thinking how awesome it would be if the White Sox won the whole thing.
And how cool is this? I was listening to NPR on my drive into work and they had a comment from one of my professors in grad school. He taught a Chicago lit course that was so fascinating (and I have to recommend One More Time, a collection of columns by Mike Royko, a very wise and very funny Chicago columnist who passed away several years ago).

Kelly!
I forgive you for pulling for the White Sox. (I'm typing this 40 miles north of downtown Houston.) I wanted an Astros victory, but I don't begrudge your Sox winning it all; they earned it.
