When we first started planning the wedding, I signed up at The Knot, which was useful for finding some hairstyles I liked, and helping me to keep my perspective by reading through the craziness people go through for a wedding. They had a checklist of things to do with assigned deadlines based on our wedding date. Since I started planning 4 1/2 months before the wedding, I was already WAY behind based on their calendar. But since we kept things relatively simple, I really only needed to worry about half of the stuff on their list.
About a day after the wedding, I got an email from The Knot announcing that they had automatically switched us to their sister site The Nest. Which, based on the sponsor emails I've been getting ever since, is basically all about having babies and planning for babies and all of the adorable yuppie accoutrement you can get for your babies. Eeek! Hi, can we have a chance to catch our breath after the wedding, please?

I KNOW! The Nest is awful. The same ridiculousness flooded my inbox, too. The message board is pretty hilarious, though, crammed with women shocked at new husbands who leave socks around and sabotage their salad efforts. Ah...silly women! (Says the girl proudly just past her 3rd year anniversary and smug in her wifely wisdom.)

Yikes!!
In actuality, it is condestinely run by planned parenthood or some zero planet growth movement dot org. and is meant to so totally freak you out after being so exhausted from planning the wedding that the thoughts of children become anithema. LOL!
