I'm a receptionist today. "Thank you for calling {miscellaneous company}. Can I help you?"
I'm not really supposed to be online according to the temp agency, but the company doesn't care. They logged me into the computer and the director actually asked if I had a book. Plus, most everyone is at lunch, so no biggie, right?
I discovered this morning that I effectively have no work clothes. It's been 6 months since the words "business casual" held any meaning for me. All of my pants and skirts are too big, including my cute cuffed and flared black pants that used to make my butt look great. Now they just kind of hang on me, shapelessly. Sadness. So reason number 427 that I need money: New Clothes.

Hey, try Craigs list for DC cause look what I found:
I have hundreds of items of clothing, all of which must GO! I'm moving across the country and can't take it all with me. I've lost weight recently, and don't fit many things I purchased... therefore, many items still have tags on them! Brands like:
J.Jill
The Gap
Old Navy
Eddie Bauer
Hecht's
Macy's
There are a few suits, many "business casual" outfits, winter coats and even some brand new shoes (size 8.5 or 9). Please come take these things from me!!! Great deals to be had -- no reasonable offer refused, especially on multiple item purchases!!
5400 4th St. S: October 1, 8 am to 1 pm. Furniture and household items too!
this is in or around Arlington
It might be a way to get some nice stuff cheaper.
Ugh. I totally have the opposite problem. In the last six months, I've outgrown all my clothes, so "business casual" are painful words as I imagine myself squeezing into pants that I should not be legally allowed to wear. I did go to Old Navy last week to get some clothes that fit my expanded frame. They're great for temporary clothes---like if you think that your size is still changing, or if you're like me and you don't plan on being the size you are for very long.
Pass me another cookie, please.
